musical style – mackenzie – pike place market

From needle+thread

there are some truly talented musicians who play in our streets. one of my favourites was a violinist who used to play right outside macy’s in the metro tunnel. i wanted to ask this girl for a close-up of her pretty accordion… they’re so interesting.

  1. Love the detail on one boot and not the other. Asymmetry…will have to attempt that sometime.

  2. So fanciful! Is it wrong that I love the accordion? And not just for Lawrence Welk marathons and Weird Al giggles. This makes me want to listen to the Amelie soundtrack. I think I shall!

This girl is so dang talented. Shewas playing a Bad Religion cover on that gorgeous squeeze box one time when I passed her. Brilliant!

I’m sure this is the same girl, she is up in Vancovuer now for the Olympics. Saw her play last weekend.
