listen – wax museum + old 97′s – showbox market

i do like a little twang.  kevin cole.  thursdays.  swingin doors.  so the old 97′s have been on my calendar since i noticed they were playing.  i don’t think i’ve seen them live (see: drunken nights in ballard?)… but know some of their songs.  actually, the deterrent to seeing them live, i think, was going to the tractor.  love ballard, but that place is a little… cramped?  their opening band (wax museum) was AMAZING.  so much so, that i wish the people sitting at the bar had been a little quieter.  hope you enjoy the photos… more after the jump.

oh, you are lucky. i love the old 97′s… or maybe it’s that i love rhett miller and murry hammond. we try see them any time they’re in the state, but oklahoma’s not on their tour this time.

& i’ll have to check out their opening band… sounds like they were really good.
