i’ve had a higher bar for the solids i’m using. maybe it’s that dry goods has some of the best solids i’ve ever bought. and once addicted to those (and maybe the fact that i’ve designed apparel for so long) i just want solids with some depth.
i bought the black version of this solid at dry goods (the center on the left flower). in a very lovely fat quarter set that i couldn’t put down. i think that was the best set of fabrics i’ve ever bought, and i’ve used every single little scrap of it. it’s all gone, and i still think of it, and want another.
this peppered cotton line is beyond soft, and it has a slight sheen- odd, but amazing. this purple came from circa15, and if you’re looking for amazing solids, she has so many choices. crossweaves, slubs, shot cottons- just amazing solids with total depth and texture, and a lot of choices.
