Tag coat

use of color – linea – pioneer square

tessa style – capitol hill

this is tessa… having heard about how cute she dressed, i was delighted upon actually meeting her.  mix of pattern, thrift, great finds for a steal… girl after my own heart.  and that coat !  she found that at nordstrom rack. every girl could use a little shine.  (sorry about the rain blobs !, it IS seattle)

hello sailor – south downtown (sodo)

this is john.  this is also technically a test shot.  but he always looks stylish, and there wasn’t much to shoot at this fashion show we crashed… so…

this is erin.  for as many bare legs as i saw that morning, i only saw a handful that seemed to realize it was 50 degrees, and utilized tights.  i love tights.  if it’s cold, and spring hasn’t technically sprung, tights are great.  and erin even mixed hers with a spring looking shoe.  smart girl.

this is galen.  i think what i like most about his look is each piece follows the same idea.  all of these pieces are slim fitting.  what i really love, is that was a members only jacket !  i worked at the bon back in the day, and we used to sell those.  where do they even sell them now ?  i think this look is casual, but appropriate.

this is emily.  you’ve already seen her great bag, and this is the rest of her look… i love emily’s use of color…that coat was lovely.  lots of great use of that golden color that i’ve seen recently… friday i showed it used on a handbag.  i think it’s a warmer yellow that more people can actually wear.

work style – downtown seattle

today’s posts are back to the work style series, and i’m focussing on basics.  these next few people we stopped had great style using basic items, and although i think some of them might seem simplistic, i’m seeing it more as… ‘basics done right’.  it doesn’t have to be complicated, edgy or fashion forward to be stylish.  i think these are great representations.

this is connor.  denim, a great overcoat… a button down.  i doubt it gets simpler.  and he still manages to look polished.

this is courtney… i love that she’s wearing similar items to molly- a belted coat, jeans… (and even carrying the ‘pack it in to work bag’) but her style is so different.  she looks very polished, but still youthful.
