of course i’m a fan of black on black. that being said, it’s so refreshing to see people mix it up, and add their own twist on it. my favourite details? the cans (plaid!) and his kicks… and for some reason the girls in the background give this shot that ‘cool guy in school’ feeling. which was perfect, since we were on our way to dance #2 in the seattle glee flash mob.

naturally 7 opened for michael buble’ and they were AMAZING! i’m so excited to be turned on to this band… after going a little nuts over ‘straight no chaser’ this past christmas, these guys are a perfect addition to my a cappella collection (and not to play favourites, but better). be sure to click read more for more photos of their style and a video of them performing!

prairie home companion has been on my list of shows that are a ‘must see’ for a while.  this last saturday i was fortunate enough to go take pictures for after dark on the p-i. if you’ve ever caught a snippet of the show on npr, been lulled into a realm of america that seems to exist only in our imaginations (or history), you’ve heard garrison talk about lake woebegone.

fortunately, tickets for next week’s performance are still available. prepare to be entertained, and laugh at your perfectly summed up seattle self, as described/sung/crooned by mr. keillor himself.

i think john’s style is a perfect illustration how easy it is for a guy to look great on a pretty minimalistic level. fitted denim, a cool jacket and fun kicks… he’s done. and looks amazing.  i think the key to getting this right is all in the fit.
