we’re not all that sure what type of hound our birdie is, i usually just say ‘hound’. it incapsulates a lot of ‘behaviour’ typical to the breed. people with hounds know what i mean… for more hound photos click 

this walker coonhound (dylan- left) seemed to mirror birdie (above and right) in size and stature, it was weird to meet a dog so like our own.  i like how they’re stepping at the same time in this quick photo.  above and below- birdie enjoys the sunny day at magnusson dog park.

every time i go to the dog park, i seem to meet someone new, or talk about something interesting (as it relates to dogs) with someone. we went last weekend (ok, i’m there 3 times a week) and met this group of people who all had rescued these dogs. they were literally all this pretty, and seemed whip SMART.  when i went down to take a picture, i couple of them circled back behind me, and went in for my pocket (treats in there!).  here’s some info on the breed, and apparently, you can rescue this type of dog through petfinder.com
