summer holiday – 4th of july – seattle

nothing says american independence like kids, dogs, old cars and darth vader. am i wrong? we celebrated our fourth in edmonds this year, brunch with friends, then off to stake out a spot for the edmond’s parade. then back in to the city for a dinner bbq. since i don’t live in a house that overlooks lake union (or know anyone who does) i tend to watch my fireworks on tv or listen to them popping out in the street as i fall asleep. what can i say, i lead a glamourous existence. i can’t complain.  hope you had a great 4th, to see some of my photos from the parade click Read more

st. pat’s ready – nick – crown hill value village

From needle+thread

so for the opening of the new crown hill value village, we were treated to some snacks and drinks and then a fashion show based off of clothes found in-store. if you’ve ever combed through value village, you know the treasures that can be found. i hope someone finds these pants and sports them on st. patrick’s day.

denim + dressy – craig – pike place market

From needle+thread

the other night i walked the market at sunset… it was so crisp, and there were so many people who looked on their way to somewhere. i liked his little bit of dressy, but still casual. perfect for december.

we had such a pretty halloween this year.  wasn’t this a beautiful fall weekend…? i had the remnants of a cold, but didn’t let that stop me from getting out to ballard to see the trick or treaters with my friends and their ‘little cat’.  if you don’t have kids, it’s almost cute overload.  i especially loved the parents who were: the beekeepers to their bees, the chef to their cupcake, the chicken to their chick, and the mexican wrestler to their spider man.  participation and imagination were awesome.

want to see more of the halloween pics from ballard?  head over to our P-I site, and see more of the ballard halloween goodness.
