feminine silhouette – SAM Remix – seattle

i was having some metering issues.  sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.  this girl was so cute, i wish my pictures did her justice.  i’m not using flash… so you’ll just have to take my word.  that dress fit was amazing, i loved her stockings with shoes, and her scarf… i’m so into these continuous scarves.  she looked great.

mixed neutrals + color – SAM Remix – seattle

From needle+thread

there were several things about this that caught my eye… color spectrum opposites, interesting choice of handbag (it works!), metallic trim on the shrug, black AND brown… sometimes i really love what individualists seattlites are.  the looks is unique, and on top of that… it’s perfect.

high shine – tessa – SAM Remix – Seattle

From needle+thread

i looked at a jacket very similar to this and passed.  it was a drab olive color… LOVE it in black.  would have bought it in a second in black.

does she have the most amazing hair or what?

great accessories – elisa – downtown seattle

From needle+thread

which only makes sense.  since she’s the design director of accessories at the big N.  loved the layering, and that skirt seemed to possibly be a sweater dress (or have a sweater yoke?)… i can’t get enough of the oversize stitch knits.  cowls, cocoon sweaters… i’ve gone a little overboard.  and those boots… lovee how boots are coming with the burnishing.  finally!  you don’t have to wear them in to get that great aged patina.

the small things – jackie – downtown seattle

From needle+thread

i wear glasses.  i often think when i wear glasses that i shouldn’t accessorize.  i loved seeing jackie’s earrings, glasses, scarf… it wasn’t too much.  and although her look is casual, it still has personality.  the retro colors in the scarf are perfect…

slim suit – john luca – downtown seattle

From needle+thread

i’m unsure as to whether this gentleman put it together that i’d be putting a photo of him online… but when he sees it, because i did give him a card, this is what i have to say- grazie!

simple chic – eleanor – SAM – downtown seattle

From needle+thread

i always feel like something doesn’t have to be fussy to look put together- it’s one of my favourite details… eleanor looks finished. dark denim, an interesting coat, the scarf, flats… so simple, with a great result.

in the details – nordstrom fashion show – bellevue fashion week

From needle+thread

there are so many great details in here… statement necklaces, pops of color+pattern, cool handbags…

i took these photos several weeks ago, and love that they finally get to go up. emily and i laughingly joked about taking dreamy shots… i think these fit the bill. she’s wearing 1 item several different ways, and you can see the write up on the seattle p-i needle+thread. happy end of summer… a few days late… : )

rocker style – calvin + caleb – bumbershoot

From needle+thread

these guys are in a band called tyler bryant band. i figured it was something, but had to ask the 12 year old girl sitting next to me. they were hanging with rock photographer bob knight… which makes sense, cause it looks like rock prophecies is all about their lead singer… i really like his car shoes. and you know how i feel about chucks.

layers + kicks – kyra – bumbershoot

From needle+thread

easy concert style – robin – bumbershoot

From needle+thread

cameron – boutique culture warehouse sale – fremont

From needle+thread

use of color + texture – allie – u-village

From needle+thread

her fun mix of color, texture, weight and fabric seems like such a great transition into fall. and those boots ! said she got them at dsw, and they were inexpensive. that field & stream look is going to be big this fall. (p.s. totally want those turq undies back there !)

vee + vee – cody – pioneer square

From needle+thread

cody is an artist, you can see his work here

blues + whites – peter + henrik – downtown seattle

it’s quite possible that i overuse the word love.  but when i see these two (and i haven’t seen this picture for a good week) i just love them.  they were a pleasure to talk with, and i wanted to put them in my pocket and carry them with me for the day.  and i’m a sucker for crisp white anything.  how do people keep white garments so tidy ?  i’d be a mess…

boots – rebecca + laila – fremont solstice

layers – alexis – fremont
