weekend dogs – datsun – discovery park

From needle+thread

sometimes i come across pictures i forget to post… i took this one last fall.  how i missed this adorable little face, i have no idea.  this little guy wanted nothing to do with my camera, and stayed firmly behind (or between) his people’s legs.  as soon as i put my camera away, he was all over me.

i love a good long weekend.  breakfast out.  reading on the couch.  general puttering.  i’ve needed a good putter.  feel like i’ve been all go-go for the holidays.

these shots of dogs were taken over the weekend.  i wish i could snap a pic of every dog i see… they’re everywhere in seattle.  one of my favourite things.  the last is, of course, my own little luv…

posting might be light this week.  i’m headed out of town.  perhaps i’ll update while away, we’ll see how tech savvy i get out on the road.

in the meantime, i’ve scheduled a couple posts about the aquarium to tide you over.  haven’t been there in ages.  it’s so nice now.  and enormous.  plus octopus week is coming.  cool.  i’m totally going back for octopus week.  even if it means i have to throw a few elbows to get some decent pics of the cephalopods.  the kids were DEEP in that area.

rainy saturday – new cards – moo

From needle+thread

i remember the first person who handed me a moo card. it was at ballard artwalk about 3 years ago… and when i turned over this wee rectangle, there on the back, was his art. i loved it. i kept it. i still have it. let’s not digress into my hoarding… moo cards. since then, countless people have handed over these little physical representations of themselves, and i have to say, they give new meaning to the somewhat staid idea of ‘business card’. i’ve never personally liked having business cards, but when these showed up, with all (ok, not quite all) my favourite pictures on the back… i kind of squealed. want one?

converse weekend – downtown seattle

this is mark.  i love his casual, strolling-the-city style.  and the chuck taylors.  i’ve yet to meet the person who can’t pull them off…

converse weekend – downtown seattle

this is carston.  he was visiting seattle from germany, and we loved his look.  he seriously epitomized spring.  and the chuck taylors… i don’t even have to mention that i loved them.  and red !  i’m due for a new pair… i wonder which color i’ll choose…
