absence makes the heart grow… oh, you know.

so… i took another break.  and i have to say my mind has been abuzz with all the could, should and going to.  774 pictures, 27 business cards, 3 flights and several wanders later, i’m back from the outdoor retailer trade show in salt lake city and have so much to do.

i did manage to snap a few pictures of some stylish people.  the vast bulk of my pictures are going to be compiled into a trend report (there actually was some *very* cool stuff i saw).  i found several bags that will be mine (osprey, ellington and dakine, next year’s model… boo).

and so i’m back.  new directions, new pictures and of course… new style.  bear with me as i post some from utah.  i know it’s a seattle blog, but… it’s also mine.  and i can do whatever i want. ; )  as always…thanks for stopping by…

this is karissa.  she was in a hurry, i apologize for the blurry picture.  another example of basics, but i love the blouse with the ruffle detail.  i don’t know that i’d ever think of putting a striped cardigan over it, and it looks great.  everything is the right weight…she looks good.

this is robbie.  her crisp white shirt and easy skirt make a subtle impression.  when i looked back over the photos… i love the bag/necklace/haircut trifecta… this outfit would look different if she’d left any of those things out. robbie looks finished.  and i think it’s a great demonstration of using accessories to ‘make’ a look.

this is jill.  looking back over the pictures, she stood out to me for the mere simplicity of a great outfit.  white tee, black pants… stylish cardigan, but not over the top… she has a ‘no fuss’ style.  and i love her strappy shoe.

my friend john and i had high hopes for finding some people this morning at bus stops, but… ended up walking the streets downtown.  work style was a lot more tricky, people in a hurry aren’t really interested in having their picture snapped.  but thanks to the people who took a moment, we’ll be posting a few each day for a week… check back for you photo if you don’t see it, i’ll also be using some of the photos for item specific posts – purses.  thanks for stopping by !

Font sizethis is molly.  doesn’t she look great ?  out of most of the people we shot, all of the nordstrom folk were pretty stylish.  we forgot to tell molly good luck… hey molly… good luck !
