well, hello! am i crazy? time feels... accelerated. but i guess it generally does this time of year. summer wrapping up, favorite season embarking... holidays looming. it starts snowballing. lit-er-al-ly. so! i've got it together for fall making. we had SOME FUN at the camps. learned a few things. i've got some students who are still making!?!? and sharing their work with me (love that), and i've had ideas for what going forward in the studio will be, and here they are!
KIDS CRAFTERNOON
weekend afternoons in the studio- book here. the crafts available can be chosen from our board (9 total available, 3 outlined above), a third will be giftable theme (santa is already working!), then a hand sewing section, and lastly, projects that are always on offer- beads, felting or clay (with new idea sheets added weekly). we'll do one friday night, and the rest sunday afternoons, per month. if you purchase a class pack (5 or 10, think of 5 as one month- 1 friday, 4 sundays, 10 as 2 months) it's a one for one, per class. fall calendar as follows- (these will be listed out on 'services' on the site, still figuring out how, don't hesitate to contact me with questions or requests!). all crafternoons are 12:30 - 3pm, 2 hours of make time with 15 minutes set up and take down on both ends. snacks and drinks available, craft is 'you choose' with instruction and handouts, all supplies provided. SPS school holiday days are separate from the class packs, but i've listed them here, so you know when they fall. I think those days will count for 2 classes, or can just be purchased separately. i'm trying to see the mobiles at SAM before they go, and i'm PUMPED to take my kids to see some haring IRL at MoPop.

PROJECT SEWINGÂ (adult) - booking link
dedicated space/time for project specific sewing once a week. i'm happy to guide or instruct as needed. you could bring your machine, and i could walk you through setting it up, and using it. i'm going to personally focus on clothing (3 items outlined above- boxy top is from a japanese book, skirt pattern TBD, coat is a vikisews pattern i purchased on etsy) and walk through step by step for each piece. if you'd like to join, i'll have the specific patterns, and you bring your chosen fabrics, and we'll do each item together. if none of these items appeal to you, bring the pattern you'd like to do, and we'll walk through it. i was going to call this 'studio time', but wanted to be clear, it's sewing related, and adult focused. my space has room for at least 3-5 sewists to spread out, and if needed, i can add more tables, and create more space, but will not exceed 5 people. the studio usually has music on while we work, and you're welcome to bring/use headphones. my space also has extra sewing machines, and a serger/overlock. with a quick tutorial/assessment, you're welcome to use any of the machines here.

SOCIAL SEWING NIGHT (adult)
this is mainly set as a night for like minded makers, and neighbors. I wanted to dedicate some effort to providing space to the small group who were getting together at Project9, but literally, all are welcome! We had a small group of knitters and hand sewers, and I thought setting a few nights over the next few months might foster more getting together. I'd also love to work towards a charity project again, as i used to have one with friends, but everyone moved away! I have supplies and machines, and was thinking of starting a block bee? i'm open! but raising money at school auctions was our previous focus. If you have ideas, i've got supplies for anything. these are the nights i'm setting aside, and i'll post to social to see who's interested.
